North South University (NSU), the country’s first private university, is all set to hold its 26th Convocation Ceremony tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The event will take place at the university’s permanent campus in Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka, starting at 10:30 am.
Chief Guest and Key Speakers
Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, the Honorable Education Adviser to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, will preside over the ceremony and confer degrees upon the graduates on behalf of the Honorable Chancellor.
The convocation will feature Professor Dr. SMA Faiz, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, as the Convocation Speaker. Other notable figures attending include Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, PhD, Vice-Chancellor of NSU.
