NSU Opens Admissions for Language Proficiency Certificates for Spring 2026

The Department of English and Modern Languages at North South University (NSU) is officially inviting applications for its specialized language proficiency certificates for the Spring 2026 session. These programs are specifically designed to help students and professionals gain a competitive edge in both global academic circles and the international job market.

The university is offering two distinct paths for linguistic development this term. The Certificate in English Proficiency (CEP) focuses on comprehensive skill-building, covering speaking, writing, reading, and listening, with an added emphasis on business and professional communication. For those looking toward East Asian opportunities, the Certificate in Japanese Proficiency (CJP) provides training at both Beginner and Intermediate Level-I. This 14-week course is strategically aligned with the requirements of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), making it ideal for those planning to work or study in Japan.

According to the official schedule, courses are set to commence on January 30, 2026, with a final admission deadline of January 27, 2026. To accommodate working individuals, all classes are held on Fridays over a four-month duration. The CEP sessions are scheduled for the morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the CJP program offers two slots: a morning session from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and an afternoon session from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The total fee for each certificate program is fixed at BDT 9,000.
