NSU Hosts Business Law Talk on ‘From Handshake to IPO: Business Law for Managers’. North South University’s (NSU) Department of Law, in collaboration with the North South University Law & Mooting Society (NSULMS), successfully concluded “From Handshake to IPO: Business Law for Managers”, the 10th episode of the Business Law Talk Series on 29 July 2026 at the Moot Court Room (NAC 616).
The session brought together faculty members, students, and individuals interested in business and legal studies, creating a dynamic academic environment. The event featured Professor Imran Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustees, BRAC University, and Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, as the keynote speaker. He delivered an insightful session titled “From Handshake to IPO: Business Law for Managers,” where he discussed the legal and commercial dynamics shaping contemporary business practices and managerial decision-making.
The program commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Nasmin Jabin Noor, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law, NSU, and Faculty Advisor of NSULMS, who emphasized the importance of integrating legal knowledge with business understanding.
The session concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Chair of the Department of Law at NSU, who highlighted the significance of such initiatives in fostering academic and professional development.
