NSU Trustee Benajir Ahmed re-elected as Treasurer of ACBSP South Asia Regional Council. Mr. Benajir Ahmed, Member and Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of North South University (NSU), has been re-elected as Treasurer of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) South Asia Regional Council for the 2026–2027 term.
The election took place last week at the Annual General Meeting of the ACBSP South Asia Region, held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
The South Asia Regional Council of ACBSP represents member institutions from 16 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and others. The council plays a key role in promoting quality assurance and excellence in business education through accreditation and academic collaboration.
ACBSP, headquartered in the United States, is a globally recognized accreditation body that promotes continuous improvement and excellence in business education. The South Asia Regional Council plays a crucial role in advancing business education standards across the region. Mr. Ahmed’s election underscores the growing influence of Bangladeshi academic leadership on the international stage.

Mr. Ahmed is a distinguished business leader and academic contributor. In addition to his role at NSU, he is a Founder Life Member of NSU Trust and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB). He is also the Chairman of Raymond Group.
He previously served as President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and as a Director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
His re-election reflects his continued leadership and contribution to advancing quality business education and institutional development across the South Asian region.
