NSU Admission Notice for MA in English Summer 2026. North South University has announced that online applications are now open for the MA in English program for Summer 2026. North South University (NSU) has officially announced the opening of online applications for its Master of Arts in English program for the Summer 2026 semester. As the demand for high-level English proficiency and critical analytical skills grows in the global corporate and academic sectors, NSU’s Department of English and Modern Languages (DEML) continues to position itself as a premier destination for advanced linguistic and literary studies.
NSU Admission Notice for MA in English Summer 2026
The program is offered by the Department of English and Modern Languages (DEML) and includes specializations in TESOL, Linguistics, and Literature. It is designed for students who want to build strong academic knowledge, improve research skills, and grow professionally in teaching, language studies, and literary analysis.
The M.A. in English at NSU is not a “one-size-fits-all” degree. Recognizing the diverse career goals of its students, the program offers three distinct specializations:
- TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages): The gold standard for those aiming for careers in international education and language coaching.
- Linguistics: A deep dive into the structure, evolution, and social impact of language.
- Literature: For the thinkers and critics focused on the power of narrative, theory, and cultural history.
Understanding that many M.A. candidates are already active in the workforce, NSU has optimized the program for convenience without compromising on rigor. Classes are held in the evenings, and the university provides dedicated transportation facilities, specifically for evening students—a crucial benefit for those navigating Dhaka’s commute.
Financial Support
NSU remains committed to making quality education accessible. For the Summer 2026 intake, the university has announced a robust financial aid package:
- Merit Scholarships: Three scholarships will be awarded based on the Admission Test results (one 50% waiver and two 25% waivers).
- General Aid: Up to 100% financial aid is available for deserving students based on merit and need.
- On-Campus Roles: Students can apply for Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA), Research Assistant (GRA), and Faculty Assistant (FGA) positions to gain hands-on experience while offsetting tuition costs.
