NSU Organizes Educational Field Trip for Agricultural Marketing Students. North South University’s (NSU) Department of Marketing, School of Business and Economics (SBE), organized an educational field trip to the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI) on August 20, 2026, as part of the Agricultural Marketing (MKT355) course. A total of 51 students participated in the field visit, which was led by the faculty member Dr. Mehe Z. Rahman.
The visit was designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications of agricultural marketing and livestock production. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into various stages of the livestock value chain, including value-added livestock products, vaccine production, disease prevention and control, feed production, breed conservation, waste management, and laboratory applications.
The students observed how agricultural and livestock resources are transformed into marketable products and services, while gaining a deeper understanding of the role of research, innovation, quality management, and value addition in the livestock sector.
The field trip provided NSU students with an enriching practical learning experience and strengthened their understanding of how agricultural marketing concepts are applied within Bangladesh’s livestock industry. The initiative also underscored NSU’s commitment to experiential learning and connecting academic knowledge with real-world industry practices.
