NSU Hosts Annual Doa Mahfil and Iftar 2026. North South University has hosted its Annual Doa Mahfil and Iftar on 05 March 2026 (Thursday). Students, faculty members, and officials attended the program and offered prayers seeking the continued progress and prosperity of the university, as well as the welfare of the nation.
The event was graced by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser, as the chief guest. Mr. M. A. Kashem, Founder Life Member and Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NSU; Mr. Benajir Ahmed, Founder Life Member and Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NSU; Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of NSU; Professor Nasar U. Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NSU; Professor Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer of NSU were also present at the event.
Mr. MM Nawaz Ameen, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Management at the School of Business and Economics, discussed on the significance and teachings of the holy month of Ramadan.
During the program, nutritionist Muhammad Ariful Islam Sajal discussed the health benefits of fasting, highlighting strategies for maintaining focus, emotional balance, and effective weight management during Ramadan.
Special prayers (doa and munajat) were offered for the well-being of the university community and for the peace and prosperity of the country and its people.
Faculty members, students, officials, staff, and guests participated in the doa mahfil and iftar gathering.
