NSUSSC Hosts Boishakhi Mela 1433 | Colours of Boishakh Fill North South University. The North South University Social Services Club welcomed the Bengali New Year with Boishakhi Mela 1433 on 14 April 2026, as hues of red, yellow, and green danced across the campus of North South University. With students, faculty, and staff coming together in the university playground, the mela became a vibrant tapestry of culture, tradition and joy.
As the day unfolded, the venue gradually filled with festive decorations, cheerful conversations, and enthusiastic participation from across the university community. The atmosphere reflected the familiar warmth of Boishakh, where tradition meets celebration and people come together to welcome a new beginning.
Adding to the spirit of the occasion, students, faculty members, and staff members set up a variety of stalls featuring traditional Bengali foods, handmade crafts, and cultural items. Each stall carried its own story of creativity and heritage, creating a space where everyone could experience the richness and diversity of Bengali culture while enjoying the festive surroundings together.

By the end of the day, the colours of the decorations, the energy of the participants, and the shared moments across the campus left behind a lasting sense of connection and celebration.
